Summary:
At Bis Henderson, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join the team at a successful, specialist supplier company at their Skelmersdale site.
As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing operations and a small team of individuals within the sales order operation. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives in a manual operation within a section of the warehouse, managing the manual the picking and packing of orders for despatch. Alongside this, this leadership role involves providing guidance and support to team members to ensure that they are working to their full potential and achieving their goals.
Working Monday – Friday Days.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the manual picking and packing of orders for despatch
Ensure that all inventory is accounted for and stored correctly
People management; motivating the team, organising workloads, briefing the team before shifts, conducting 1-2-1s and acting on any HR related requirements
Drive continuous process improvement enhancing efficiency levels and maintaining colleague KPIs
Proactively identify future development opportunities within the service operation and lead those development and change opportunities
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all health and safety guidelines
Key Skills/Experience:
3 years+ experience of managing a team of over 10 colleagues in a 3PL, Retail, FMCG multi-shift environment
Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar
A thorough understanding of inventory control, stock movements, pick optimisation processes and Warehouse Management Systems
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Promotes a culture of Safety and Continuous Improvement
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures
PC Literate in Microsoft software (outlook, excel, power point)
