Summary:
Our client is a leading FMCG business who operate in a fully automated high-speed warehousing environment. As they continue to strengthen their team, they are now looking to appoint a proven Warehouse Shift Manager to lead their warehousing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for overseeing the smooth performance of a large, automated warehousing facility on a 4 on 4 off (days & nights) shift pattern.
- Managing the shift team providing leadership, coaching and mentoring and dealing with any people related issues that affect performance.
- Ensure the smooth flow of warehouse operations, implementing safety procedures and ensuring compliance with healthy & safety regulations.
- Take accountability for performance measurement objectives for the warehouse team and identify areas for development and training.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions to enhance warehouse operations.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or shift management role preferably in an automated or semi-automated environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment and goods in and out.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and related software.
