Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience
Summary:
We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Raw Material Planner to join our manufacturing client in Milton Keynes. Reporting to the Production Director, the purpose of this role is to plan and buy raw materials in accordance with demand and production requirements.
Hours of work are 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday.
Key Responsibilities for the Raw Material Planner:
- Purchase raw materials and finished goods from internal and external suppliers in accordance with MRP requirements and customer orders
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and monitor usage to avoid stockouts
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials
- Identify and resolve any issues related to raw material availability or quality
- Analyse demand forecasts and production schedules to determine raw material requirements
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials
- Create and monitor supply chain KPI’s and evaluate supplier performance
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements
Key Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience in raw material planning, inventory management, or a similar role essential
- Manufacturing background highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other planning and inventory management tools
