Summary:
A leading independent distribution management specialist offering international and domestic express courier, mail, fulfilment and storage. With their own in house technology and development team, this sets them apart from other mid market carriers and allows them to be more agile and customer friendly. They are now looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales & Marketing to assist the business in achieving its growth plans. There is an extensive and warm contact base but it will be expected that you will source further potential clients as part of your role. You will be responsible for strategic sales planning and BD activities, development of market share and industry sectors and developing sales leads.
You will have a proven track record of over achievement in a commercial sales role with an emphasis on new business development and pipeline generation. A background in logistics is a must, from either international, parcel, 3PL, pallet networks. This is an exciting opportunity, where you will have a blank sheet of paper to work with to build and develop a high performing sales and marketing team.
