Summary:
Head of Central Services
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Central Services to join a globally recognised business as they experience continued growth in their highly complex logistics operation.
The main purpose is;
Develop and implement strategies for your function including Real Estate & Facilities Management, portfolio optimisation and project execution.
Manage transactions for real estate projects, conducting & overseeing negotiations.
Partner with operations to support in the development and execution of cost out and other business strategies. The role calls for a detailed and commercially astute professional who have previous experience managing contracts and contractors across multi-sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Group property estate in accordance with lease and freehold undertakings, business objectives, strategic plans, and legal requirements.
- Ensure Group property and facilities are maintained to the relevant business, operational and legislative standards.
- Deliver the cost-effective provision and maintenance of business related equipment and services.
- Ensure that adequate Insurance provisions and cover are in place to protect the businesses and key stakeholders.
- Provide liaison between insurers / brokers and the business units, so managing costs related to claims experiences.
- Procure and manage group wide energy and utilities.
- Ensure environmental objectives, initiatives and undertakings are achieved to satisfy group and stake holder requirements.
- Manage suppliers and contracts for service / support to satisfy business unit requirements.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Must have proven experience in managing the cost-effective provision of Services and Equipment across multi-sites.
- Must have managed a large property estate 30+ sites across warehouses and offices.
- Demonstrate that you take ownership
- You will need to have a good understanding of FMCG environments.
- Equally important is your ability to lead, influence and drive high levels of performance across the site and work collaboratively with key management staff.
- It goes without saying that you will be a logical thinker who is capable of showing initiative and not afraid to make decisions and take responsibility for the outcomes.
- Proven experience in managing equipment and services procurement.
