Summary:
At Bis Henderson, we are looking for an Applications Engineer to work for a growing, global manufacturing company. The Applications Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support and information to the Sales, Purchasing, Production and Service departments as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated holding, or be in the process of obtaining, engineering qualifications alongside a good working knowledge of SolidWorks.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide internal and external customers with design drawings, which may include the obtaining of costing’s
Providing applications engineering support and information to Sales, Purchasing, Production and Service departments including drawings, bills of materials and other technical information
Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations relating to manufactured products
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
Engineering admission to include the processing of design change requests
Key Skills/Experience:
Engineering qualifications alongside a good working knowledge of SolidWorks is essential
Be able to understand and interpret technical drawings
A proficient knowledge and understanding of electrics and hydraulics would be advantageous
Self-motivated with a strong customer service ethos
Ability to solve problems and follow projects through to conclusions
