More on the event…
The event offers members the opportunity for superb leading edge and networking opportunities, and an unrivalled opportunity to meet leading figures within the institute and the wider professional community. This year’s centenary celebrations are taking the CILT back to their roots, as the event is being held at the infamous RIBA, Portland Place – where The Chartered Institute of Transport was first established before evolving into who they are today; The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
This year’s leading edge presentation has been announced as Jim Spittle, FCILT, who was recently honoured for his 40-year contribution to the logistics and supply chain sector. Jim will be presenting some fascinating insights into his career to date and discussing how our profession will shape the future.
Jim received the Sir Robert Lawrence Outstanding Achievement Award at the CILT Annual Awards for Excellence this year and has held a number of executive level positions at Tesco’s, Kingfisher, Dixons, Whitbread and the NHS. Jim is an advisory board member for Cranfield University, is a past President and current VP for the CILT and Chair of NHS Supply Chain.
