Operations Manager based at Hemel Hempstead (e-commerce)
£50-55,000 base salary plus package.
This is a logistics firm with a growing portfolio of customers across a wide variety of sectors.
The company is very profitable, stable and has a strong appetite for growth and expansion. It believes strongly in good management of its people and has a most positive culture. Based at a new site, with an established management team, you will be required to help set up and manage a new start up, related to e-commerce and direct customer fulfilment. You must have a reputation for delivering very high levels of client satisfaction through well organised and carefully planned operations. You will lead a large team of 80 + staff.
This will involve the development of training programmes, continuous improvement work and budget management. Your background will be in e-commerce, ideally 3PL – but more important are your core competencies in the areas of leadership, process development, financial management and account management. You will have a good working knowledge of current H&S Regulations and disciplinary procedures. Excellent planning and organisational skills are also called for as well as a good knowledge of modern day WMS systems.
This demanding role calls for a self-starting and highly motivated distribution / warehousing professional with great problem-solving skills and well-honed communication abilities.
