Newly created position for an experienced Supply Chain Reporting assistant to join this design led, PE backed business. The organisation is a leader in its field, widely regarded in the UK market place with its products featuring in leading UK retail brands and a growing ecommerce operation evolving.
Due to consistent growth and a recent significant change programme, the business has identified the need to recruit a Supply Chain Reporting Assistant to support the Operations Director and be responsible for providing analysis and information on inventory, supply chain and logistics operations, supplier and availability performance. You will develop close working relationships with the suppliers, warehouse teams and 3pl providers. Knowledge of Far East suppliers and supply chains would be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities to include:
Review and provide management information to assist in the management of inventory and stock, supply chain, logistics and overall operational performance
Provide and generate weekly and daily reports across all warehouse locations and work with the warehouse to manage inbound activity and produce weekly analysis of warehouse costs.
Generate reports relating to purchasing and cost of goods and also availability performance.
Liaising with commercial teams and lead the monthly forecasting process and work with relevant systems to report forecasting performance and impact of stock availability and inventory levels.
Liaise with suppliers to manage manufacturing lead times, production capacity and product supply and ensure all supplier paperwork and delivery information is accurately processed.
Analysis of excess stocks, high weeks stock holdings and potential dead/slow moving products.
Collaborative working with sales teams and other key business stakeholders.
Candidates should have previous supply chain/inventory experience gained in an FMCG environment and be comfortable working in a fast paced environment. SAGE L500 experience would be highly desirable but SAGE is a minimum requirement along with Advanced Excel skills.
