To be successful you will need to have strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by a proven history of stakeholder and Client management coupled with robust project management and process mapping ability and have ideally a broad sector background having worked in a number of different fields such as Automotive, 3PL, Aviation, Transport etc. Construction Logistics background is ideal. Other requirements include:-
– Development of Logistical strategies underpinned by supply chain, operational and technical understanding
– Ability to design logistics facilities to allow flow of inventory, returns, waste management, H&S
– Solutions design at the varying milestones and stages
– Knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Lean and Six Sigma applied to process improvement and mapping
– Line management experience and ability to grow and nurture a team
– Analytical skills
– Ability to network effectively
