Regional General Manager – Distribution
Reporting to the Head of Operations this is a critical senior leadership role with responsibility for P&L of 2 branches (Leeds and Gateshead) within the distribution network and leading the strategic change agenda.
The successful candidate must have a strong track record in growing profitability within a multi-site or large DC environment. Key focus will be on innovation and skill at bringing a winning solution to customers. The ability to be performance and customer focused is key, as is being able to challenge and consistently drive improvements.
To lead, empower, develop and be accountable for the site teams and deliver an efficient and effective service to all customers in the Region in line with the wider business strategy.
Leading the implementation of operational improvement, transformational change and increasing profitability against all KPI’s with the branches. Exposure to lean methodologies and working within a six sigma culture is to be expected as is automation knowledge. Ensuring process and regulatory compliance, high standards of service, quality and colleague engagement and best practice adoption in the branch network.
