Partnered with a Global retail support Business, we are seeking an International Freight and Supply Chain Manager, based currently at home, but as close to Wakefield as possible.
The position will be responsible for the day to day operational and strategic performance of the logistics cateogry, providing leadership, innovation and operational excellence. The role is expected to deliver significant knowledge to the business and customer base.
Key Duties:
* Assist modelling end to end logistics process with a primary focus on International freight
* Identify potential new logistics partners, technology/automation solutions
* Drive competitive tension and excellence within the logistic partner network through benchmarking, tenders and contract ownership
* Ownership of assigned implementation workstreams for the successful warehouse and logistic solution roll out
* Budget responsibility and ownership for the successful completion of all change programmes
* Analysis of Logistics spend and associated action plans to control and drive cost reduction
* Working in conjunction with the client teams teams to deliver customer service performance improvement
* Manage day to day 3PL logistics operations
* Manage stock reporting and import processes across global network
* Define and develop SOPs and continuous improvement agendas
Expected knowledge and skills:
* Experience in international trade in a fast paced environment at senior level
* Strategic planning abilities for significant growth
* Proven experience managing global change programmes and project implementations
* Experience in effectively managing logistic transformation and transitions
* Senior level experience in a global International Logistics and Supply Chain role
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
* Multi contract procurement and negotiating experience
