This is a global retail business with a mix of sales channels, including a burgeoning on-line proposition and a base of stores around the world. The company is successful and has performed well in a difficult trading environment. Its global network has been transformed and the company needs to hire a seasoned Supply Chain Director to help define and deliver the strategy for long term growth.
Delivery of the strategy will involve a review of all global logistics activity including sourcing of product from manufacturers in the Far East. It will also involve the development of company wide collaboration projects to reduce the cost of shipment, optimise stock holdings and reduce working capital.
You will also take lead on the development of innovation around automation and e-commerce.
Your background will be in senior leadership positions in supply chain, clearly, and ideal industry sectors could include consumer goods manufacturing, retail, wholesale, ecommerce or 3PL logistics. International experience is critical.
