Customer Service Manager
We are working with an established Logistics business who are recruiting a Customer Service Manager for their team in Essex.
Being a well-established logistics leader doesn’t mean that things can stand still. Stepping into this role will see you becoming part of a continually evolving success story and leading major changes within your department – redesigning the way it works from upselling to order processing to deliveries. You will have a strong business acumen and whole-heartedly take ownership of a key role that is critical to the on-going success of well-established customer relationships and the development of new business relationships in order to drive improved sales.
On a day-to-day basis you can expect to:
─ manage the order entry process and have full ownership of the order book to ensure customer expectations are met
─engage with key stakeholders at all levels in order to efficiently deliver excellent levels of Customer Service
─ manage and develop your team’s performance; setting and defining them targets / KPIs
─ ensure there is proactive communication between Sales and Distribution teams to ensure smooth delivery of orders.
Candidates need proven experience in a similar Customer service / Logistics Administration role for a Logistics / Service Delivery business that ideally has an International exposure. You will have experience in process flow mapping, KPI implementation and continuous improvement. As well as strong people management skills including the ability to improve KPI’s, you will need previous experience of managing a team through a period of change. Excellent organisation and time management skills are a given as are the abilities to work in a fast paced environment, take the initiative and reason your way through changing and conflicting challenges. Excellent IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft packages and a working knowledge of an ERP / Order entry system is essential
