Our client is a market leading international manufacturing and service Company looking for an experienced Procurement Category Manager to join their fantastic team, supporting the Europe & Africa regions in the continued development of procurement strategies.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading and delivering high quality, innovative and market intelligence led category management across the spend areas (including but not limited to fleet, freight, facilities, travel)
- Developing and executing professional sourcing strategies
- Execution of Contract and Supplier relationship management, supplier development and innovation
- Build working relationships with key stakeholders, other category teams, suppliers and external partners
- Executing professional tenders (RFx) including establishing and negotiating contracts according to the defined sourcing strategy
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in procurement processes, strategic sourcing and execution of professional tenders
- Experience in contracting and supplier relationship management
- Experience in project management
- Ability to work effectively within a complex, matrix structure
- Self-starter, able to work independently in addition to embracing teamwork
- At ease operating in changing environments
- Educated to degree level (commercial or engineering) or significant equivalent professional experience
