Overview:

They are seeking an experienced Senior Freight Forwarder with a strong background in road freight operations to join their close-knit and collaborative team in Bristol.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, manage full-cycle road freight forwarding operations, including quoting, booking, routing, and documentation.
• Coordinate efficiently with suppliers, hauliers, and partner agents to ensure on-time delivery and a smooth execution of domestic and international freight services.
• Oversee import/export processes, ensuring compliance with UK and international regulations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing proactive updates and problem-solving support.
• Work collaboratively across the wider operations team to support multimodal logistics solutions (air, sea, and road).
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in a freight forwarding role with particular knowledge in cross border road freight.
• A positive, energetic team player who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and brings both technical expertise and a customer-focused mindset.
• Strong operational knowledge of UK and European transport networks and regulations.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Confident in using freight management and transport systems.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to travel periodically to another site in Hertfordshire when required.
