Head of Ecommerce

Location: Wellingborough
Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 (depending on experience)

Summary:

As Head of Ecommerce, you will be the driving force behind operational excellence and strategic change within this high-growth logistics business. A key focus will be maximising revenue, developing customer relationships and driving business performance. Alongside overseeing day-to-day operations, you will shape and execute the commercial strategy, ensuring the business is optimally positioned for scale and long-term growth. The ideal candidate will be commercially driven, entrepreneurial and experienced leading small business or start-up environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing day-to-day operations across warehousing and transport.
• Inspire, manage, and develop operational teams to deliver high performance, ensuring service levels and KPIs are met.
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, whilst ensuring compliance across the whole operation at all times.
• Collaborate with wider teams to align operational strategy with business objectives and goals.
• Lead the successful execution of various transformational projects to facilitate business growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.

Key Skills / Experience:

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a fast-paced ecommerce logistics operation.
• Strong commercial awareness and strategic mindset.
• Successful track-record of leading continuous improvement projects.
• Excellent people management and leadership skills.
• Previous experience working with customers, developing accounts and driving business growth is essential.
